Logitech’s cordless optical mice have been engineered to intelligently alternate between sleep and awake modes. When in use, it's in full-run mode, and when not in use, it powers down to preserve precious battery life.

Logitech has developed technologically advanced solutions to maximize and optimize battery life in its cordless devices. Regular AA alkaline batteries are the ideal power choice for Logitech cordless devices. Depending on use, these should last up to three months. Rechargeable batteries are also an option, but may only last for one month before needing recharging. A battery detection system and indicator provide ample warning when batteries are running low.
