It has a large platform for your hands and wrist to rest on and the actual keys are sunk in a little, which helps with repetivie motions of the fingers.

The padding is comfy and feels good on your palms, but could take a couple days to get used too. As your current keyboard most likely doesn't have anything padding. While the style looks great and the added little features, such as a zoom button and programmable buttons, this keyboard will bring comfort to those in need of it.
