Go Wireless with a Bluetooth Headset: Choosing a Bluetooth Headset
In this day and age of cell phones, Ipods and MP3 players wouldn't you like to be able to use these innovations and still have your hands free? Have you ever tried to hold your cell phone between your chin and your shoulder and talk? That's nearly an impossible task. I can be easily done with a Bluetooth headset. These headsets are wireless so no more getting tangled in wires while you are working or driving. Most have a range of up to 30 feet so you can move easily about your office or home and still have access to your cell phone or music player. Most states are now adapting laws to make it illegal to talk on your cell phone while driving without a hands free device. You can use a wired headset with an ear bud, which is what I have, or you can go wireless. I can tell you that by using the wired headset, I often jerk the wire and the earpiece goes flying, or the phone is knocked around.
You can have Bluetooth even if you don't have a phone that is equipped for Bluetooth technology. Adapters for most phones can be bought for any phone so you don't have to buy a new phone to take advantage of this new technology.
Bluetooth headsets come in various styles, talk time availability, charge time, and stand by time. Wireless headsets can be purchased with an “auto switching” technology to allow you to use your phone while also using it for a music player. You can hear the phone ring if the incoming call while listening to music. Some also feature voice dialing.
